ContributorNetwork – COMMENTARY | Unlike some people, mostly on the right, I’m very proud of the way our president has handled the killing of the world’s most wanted terrorist Osama bin Laden. This includes the decision to not release the photos of a dead bin Laden, as well as disposing of the body and the critical decision making that lead to the raid of the al-Qaida leader’s compound in Pakistan. In the week after the event, I’ve heard all kinds of speculation and opinion, including this was Gen. David Petraus’ idea and that President Barack Obama was nothing more than a figurehead giving the go-ahead. What amazes me is the lengths that some people are willing to go to marginalize this president. I’d like to see the reaction if it was George W. Bush at the top. I suspect there would be a movement to put him on Mount Rushmore.

Police: Judge hands out condoms hidden in acorns (AP)

AP – Police said a district judge from Intercourse, Pa., hid condoms inside acorns and handed them out to women in the state Capitol complex last week. A summary charge of disorderly conduct was filed Tuesday against Isaac H. Stoltzfus, who presides over low-level cases as a district judge in Lancaster County.
