Fifth earthquake rocks South Mariana Islands
KUALA LUMPUR: A 6.5-magnitude earthquake hit the south of Mariana Islands in the Philippines at 7.01am today, the fifth since yesterday morning. The earthquake’s epicenter was 1,807km north-east of Davao and 2,663km north-east of Lahad Datu, Sabah, the Malaysian Meteorological Department said.

Moderate Earthquake Rocks West Caroline Island In The Philipines
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 2 (Bernama) — A magnitude 5.4 earthquake occurred at West Caroline Island, near Davao, Philipines at 11.46pm Sunday night. The Meteorological Department in a statement said its epicentre was 1,097km east of Davao, Philipines and 1,951km northeast of Lahad Datu, Sabah.

Contractor found dead (The New Sabah Times)
LAHAD DATU : A contractor was found dead and police believed he was hit with a hard object. Lim Kim Loong, 41, was found lying in a pool of blood in his house at about 7.55pm on Tuesday.
