AP – A 12-year-old Oregon boy had permission to drive the family pickup truck to the end of the driveway to unload trash, but he kept going until he was stopped nearly 100 miles away in Lewis County, Wash.

Iowa woman arrested for letting 12-year-old drive (AP)

AP – Authorities say a woman has been charged for allegedly letting a 12-year-old child drive her and her family from Nichols to Iowa City. Twenty-one-year-old Melissa Garcia was charged with three counts of child endangerment and operating a vehicle with no consent. She was in custody Sunday at the Johnson County Jail on a $10,000 cash only bond. Garcia was arrested Saturday night in Iowa City.

Ky. family claims they found dead mouse in milk (AP)

AP – A Kentucky family has sued Wal-Mart, saying they found a dead mouse in a milk container the family had been drinking from for three days. The Courier-Journal reported that Robert and Rosalind Grant and their 23-month-old granddaughter sought medical attention and treatment in May after finding the mouse. The family filed suit in Jefferson Circuit Court on Monday.

Reuters – A 15-year-old New Zealand boy has survived with minor injuries after falling 16-storeys from the balcony of his family’s apartment onto a concrete floor, New Zealand media reported on Monday.
